Harry Daniel
I
t is with a heavy heart that we inform the Ridley Family of the peaceful passing of Mr. Harry J. Daniel on December 24, 2013. Father of Scott '83, Glen '84, Blair '86 and Heather '90, Harry was a Trustee of the Ridley College Foundation, member of Ridley's Board of Governors and served as Chair from 1995 to 2000.  With loving wife Dorothy Anne always by his side, Harry practiced civil litigation in St. Catharines from 1960 to his retirement. He was bestowed the Queen's Council and was a member of the American College of Trial Lawyers as well as being called to the New York State Bar.  He was dedicated to his family and his community and served on many boards and organizations including Chair of the Niagara Parks Commission, President of St. Catharines Golf & Country Club, President of the Golf Association of Ontario and member of the Royal Canadian Golf Association. We are grateful to Harry and the Daniel family for all they have done - and continue to do - for Ridley and the Niagara Region and for their collective leadership, generosity and loyalty.

Save the Date - Toronto Branch
The Toronto Branch Reception will be held on Wednesday April 9th, 2014. Details to follow.

40 Years of Coeducation
In conjunction with the 125th anniversary of Ridley College we will also be celebrating 40 years of women at Ridley. There will be two women only events happening this year. On May 10th a luncheon will be held on campus at Kenyon Lett House and on June 24th there will be a cocktail reception in Toronto. We hope to have as many women of Ridley as possible attend one or both events. Click here to join our Women of Ridley Facebook page!

Celebrating 125th Anniversary with Math!
We issued a challenge to students to come up with a mathematical equation that best represents the 125th anniversary of Ridley College. The top ten answers have been chosen, now it will be up to the Ridley family to decide the winner of the challenge. Take the survey below and chose which one you think best represents the 125th anniversary of Ridley College!: https://surveys.questionpro.com/a/t/AwkqZQnhb

Ridley College Now Offering ESL Summer Program
Ridley College is now offering an ESL summer credit program for students aged 12 to 17. It is designed to provide English language learners with the ability to communicate effectively in a variety of academic and social settings. Our summer credit program will focus on reading, listening, media, writing and speaking. Afternoons after class and on weekends, students will practice their speaking and listening skills by participating in Ridley’s robust co-curricular program (arts, activities, and athletics) and by making cultural trips throughout the Niagara region and into Toronto. Please click here to learn more.
