Moments in Ridley History December, 2013 marks the anniversaries of three historic Ridley events:
125 years ago: December 18, 1888 was the first meeting of the Provisional Board of Governors. Bishop Ridley College is confirmed as the name for the school. It was the only name suggested.
120 years ago: December 22, 1893 was the first annual dinner of the Ridley College Old Boys’ Association. It was held at Webb’s Restaurant in Toronto with some 40 Ridleians in attendance.
90 years ago: on December 7, 1923 the Women’s Guild was formally established in Toronto. Their first project was the completion of the chancel furnishings in the new Memorial Chapel. The Women’s Guild is today known as the Family Guild.

Ridley College Now Offering ESL Summer Program Ridley College is now offering an ESL summer credit program for students aged 12 to 17. It is designed to provide English language learners with the ability to communicate effectively in a variety of academic and social settings. Our summer credit program will focus on reading, listening, media, writing and speaking. Afternoons after class and on weekends, students will practice their speaking and listening skills by participating in Ridley’s robust co-curricular program (arts, activities, and athletics) and by making cultural trips throughout the Niagara region and into Toronto.
